Athletes all over the world want to do one thing, shoot the basketball. But not all are willing to learn the fundamental mechanics and conscious effort it takes to master the art of shooting. In our Pure Shooter Camp, athletes will learn basic shooting mechanics and learn the fundamentals of form shooting, technique, release and shot selection in various drills and shooting competitions. We will focus on the importance of learning the mechanics in your athletes shot, not every shot is the same and athletes must be comfortable within their own form. Players will be able to take these drills with them anywhere including at home to work on everyday. We can not stress enough, in order to master the art of shooting it is advised to be working on shooting daily in order to progress. 

Camp Focuses:

Shooting Fundamentals: Players will learn the correct shooting form, stance, hand/foot placement, and release to become a high percentage shooter. This instruction will be repetitive throughout the week. As a player, it is important to focus on the details within the learning portion of shooting fundamentals.

Player Development:  Each athlete will learn how to create good practice habits, what a good shooting form looks like, and how to increase outside shooting range through proper mechanics. Being coachable is a key characteristic for athletes in order to attain and process the information being passed on by the coaches. Proper eye contact and body language will help athletes become more engaged within the teaching moments of camp. 

In-Game Shots: These skills will be taught through stationery drills and throughout the week the drills will evolve to include more game-like situations. It is important for athletes to perform these drills at a game-like speed so it is easier to transition into competition. We encourage athletes to start slowly to perfect the skill then once perfected, athletes will then perform at an increased speed and higher level of execution repetitively. 

Competition: Players will be competing in various shooting contests such as knockout and hot shot for prizes and awards. Throughout camp athletes will be encouraged to communicate amongst peers and build lasting relationships with new athletes.
